Welcome to the 2016 – 17 Niceville Eagles’ basketball season.  Our team is ready for another exciting season on the hardwood!  The players have invested time, energy, effort so they could achieve their goal of representing Niceville High School on the floor.  As a new season begins, a team never knows where the journey will take them but this team is looking forward to creating memories and bonds that last a lifetime.  The players and coaches would like to thank the administration, parents and the community for their support.  Go Eagles!

Jerome Strutchen Sr. Bio:

He graduated from Dodge County High School in 1982.  He graduated from Troy University in 2003 with a Master Degree in Business Management. He retired from the military in 2005. He coached the Niceville 9th grade boys’ basketball team in 2000, Co-head coach in 2005 – 2006.  Head Coach for Niceville Girls Basketball in 2006 – 2007 (5A District Runner – up, 5A Regional Semi-finalist). Head coach boys’ basketball from 2007 – present, instrumental in taking the boys team to their first Elite Eight in 42 years.  In 2010, boys’ basketball went to their first final four appearance in 44 years.  Under Coach Strutchen the boys basketball program has accumulated 4 District Championship, 2 District Runner – up, 3 Regional Quarter – finals, 2 Regional Semi – Finals, 1 Elite Eight Finals, 1 Elite Eight Championship and 1 Final four appearance.  .600 winning percentage. Off the court, enjoys learning from others and encouraging students to be great at whatever they do in life.  Jerome loves spending quality time with his lovely wife Sharon of 31 years.  They have three young adults Demorris, Gabriel and Sharome.
